Death can be thought of as the elephant in the room that no one pays any attention to until we are profoundly changed as someone we love is dying, or dies, or blessedly survives a brush with death and thus gives that elephant a name. Elisha Cooper (Falling), Ann Neumann, (The Good Death: An Exploration of Dying in America), and Brandy Schillace (Death's Summer Coat -What the History of Death and Dying Teaches Us About Life and Living) talk about how death and dying defines, impacts, and transforms life.
