Jack Hamilton

Jack Hamilton is the author of Just around Midnight: Rock and Roll and the Racial Imagination and he is an assistant professor of American Studies and Media Studies at the University of Virginia. Jack is also the pop critic for Slate magazine, and his writing has appeared in the Atlantic, the New Yorker, NPR, Transition, L.A. Review of Books, ESPN, and many other publications. Just around Midnight is his first book, and he is currently working on a project about music and technology since the 1960s.
