Jacqueline Woodson

Jacqueline Woodson is the National Book Award winning author of Brown Girl Dreaming, a memoir. Her novel, Another Brooklyn, was a National Book Award finalist. Picture books include Each Kindness, Pecan Pie Baby and Show Way. Young Adult books include If You Come Softly and Beneath A Meth Moon. Among her many awards, she’s received the NAACP Image Award, the Coretta Scott King Award, a number of Newbery Honors, the Lambda Visionary Award and The Jane Addams Peace Prize. The former Young People’s Poet Laureate, Woodson lives with her family in Brooklyn.
