Karen Green is the first ever Curator for Comics and Cartoons at Columbia University’s Rare Book & Manuscript Library. She also oversees the university’s circulating graphic novels collection, which she initiated in 2005. Karen wrote the “Comic Adventures in Academia” column for ComiXology, as well as forewords to books by Schuiten/Peeters, Craig Yoe, and Drew Friedman. She teaches a summer course on comics as literature. Karen has served as a judge for both the Eisner Awards and the Pulitzer Prize, and sits on the board of the Society of Illustrators.
