Sara Franklin is a writer, food studies scholar, oral historian, wife and mother. She teaches writing and food studies at the Gallatin School for Individualized Study at New York University, and via the NYU Prison Education Program at Wallkill Correctional Facility. Her first book, Edna Lewis: At the Table with an American Original, was published by UNC Press in 2018. She is the co-author of the forthcoming Phoenicia Diner Cookbook, and is at work on a book about the late editor, Judith Jones. Franklin lives with her family in Kingston, NY.
