Brooklyn Law School Dean Maryellen Fullerton is an expert on immigration and refugee law. Her research focuses on the phenomenon of forced migration, particularly the challenges facing asylum seekers in Europe and the United States. She was appointed to the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Law at the University of Trento, Italy, following an earlier Fulbright award to the University of Louvain, Belgium. She was also a German Marshall Fund Fellow in Hungary and a Visiting Scholar in Spain. She is a prolific scholar and a frequent speaker across the United States and in Europe.
