Laurel Snyder

Laurel Snyder is the author of many novels for children, including the Geisel Award-winning Charlie & Mouse, and the National Book Award short-listed Orphan Island, as well as books of poetry. She’s published reviews and articles in publications including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and others. She is an occasional commentator for NPR’s All Things Considered, and teaches in the MFAC program at Hamline University and the creative writing department at Emory University. A Baltimore native, Laurel now lives in Atlanta with her family.
